I had to relocate the kitchen in my 16th-century cottage to a room with a crazy shape. After a lot of searching a real estate agent recommended Kitchensmiths as a reliable kitchen provider. The online reviews were also very good. I wrote to Alex, one of their designers, and everything was really smooth onwards. He assessed the space and presented an excellent design, by far the best among several top kitchen companies in Cambridge. Kitchensmiths is the opposite of a hard sell. They are extremely patient and really want to make sure you are getting what you are really hoping for. I have not been disappointed. The quality of everything they have delivered has been excellent and most beautiful.
My only two caveats: 1. They are not the cheapest on the market and 2. Their lead times can be long and you’ll have to wait several months to get your kitchen. On the price: you get what you pay for plus all the benefits of a family business that tailors their product to your needs. The extra pound is well spent. On the waiting time: Kitchensmiths has a single team of fitters and they do one kitchen a week. I was slightly annoyed by this until the team came finally home. They were absolutely brilliant to tackle all the challenges of a room where there wasn’t one single right angle. All members of the team were efficient, clean and polite, and on top of their game. It was well worth the wait.
The result is absolutely stunning and I am very grateful to Kitchensmiths for the wonderful service I have received from them at every stage of the project. Alex and his colleague Maude are very professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with, and ready to do the extra mile in case you need it. I couldn’t recommend them more.
